In June 2015 the Centre for Fantasy Literature Studies was founded at the Taras Shevchenko Institute of Literature in Kyiv, Ukraine. 

The main aim of the centre is to provide the scholars writing on Ukrainian and foreign fantasy literature with opportunities for professional communication in the fields of literature, linguistics, art, culture, translation, etc. 

The Centre’s first workshop dedicated to the problems of terminology in fantasy studies took place in November 2015.
